The Chicago Bulls secured a 132–125 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum on Friday, October 23, overcoming a 15-point deficit to level their record at 1–1 early in the season, Sport News Africa reported.
Milwaukee Takes Early Control Before Chicago Responds
Milwaukee established early momentum by capturing the opening quarter 32–17. Chicago erased that margin with a 44-point second period, narrowing the deficit to 62–61 at halftime. The offensive pace remained high through the third quarter, which Milwaukee won 42–41 to take a 104–102 advantage into the final twelve minutes.
Norman Powell led the Bulls with 25 points, while Caleb Wilson contributed 21 points, six rebounds, and two blocks. Chicago also received significant production from its reserves, as Leonard Miller scored 19 points, Buddy Hield added 13, and Tre Jones recorded 11 points and eight assists without committing a turnover. The Chicago bench collectively generated 59 points, including 12 points from Isaac Okoro and four from Noa Essengue.
Tyler Herro Leads Milwaukee Counter-Attack in Tight Finish
Tyler Herro paced the Bucks with 34 points, shooting five of ten from three-point range. Two consecutive three-pointers from Herro gave Milwaukee a 119–118 lead with under four minutes remaining, and a putback basket by Myles Turner subsequently pushed the hosts ahead 123–122. However, Chicago controlled the final period 30–21 to reclaim the lead.
Free-throw execution proved decisive down the stretch. The Bulls converted 28 of their 30 attempts from the line, featuring a nine-for-nine performance from Powell and five-for-five from Jones. Milwaukee made 14 of 26 free throws, leaving 12 points uncontverted in a seven-point defeat, despite outshooting the visitors from deep with 19 three-pointers to Chicago’s 12.

Balanced Contributions Propel the Bulls to Victory
Jalen Smith added 14 points and 13 rebounds for Chicago. For Milwaukee, Jaime Jaquez Jr. registered 19 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists, while Turner finished with 12 points and five blocks. Both teams finished with 29 assists and 44 rebounds, but Milwaukee committed 19 turnovers compared to Chicago’s 14.
The loss leaves the Bucks winless through their first two games of the campaign. Sport News Africa noted that Milwaukee maintained winning opportunities late in the contest but must improve possession management and build upon Herro’s scoring stretches to secure outcomes in close matches.
