With his recent performances in the NCAA, AJ Dybantsa not only confirms his status as a potential first choice in the 2026 Draft, but he also attracts the eyes of the biggest, including LeBron James.

A few days ago, LeBron and the Lakers played in Utah. In the front row, there was AJ Dybantsa, a young 18-year-old star who is currently playing at the University of BYU (Utah). The perfect moment for a nice hug between the legend and the one who dreams of becoming one.

“He just told me he was watching me from afar and was excited to see where I was.” Dybantsa said of his relationship with LeBron. “Two years ago, I trained with him, and we stayed in touch” he added, referring to a workout in 2023 in Los Angeles with the Kingwhen he was only 16 years old and was considered the best high school student in the country.

It’s unclear if his brief encounter with LeBron gave him superpowers, but AJ Dybantsa broke it the next day during BYU’s varsity game against Abilene Christian.
