The first day of the district basketball championship took place at Nicolas Copernic College in Saint Vallier the December 10, 2025. Five establishments were represented:
• College of Jules Ferry Generard,
• Le Creusot Center College,
• Nicolas Copernic Saint Vallier College,
• Jean Moulin College of Montceau les Mines,
• Saint Gilbert College of Montceau les Mines.
The Center College played three matches in the group stage and finished premier of his group. The students won the first match with a score of 6 to 2, then confirmed with a second victory 15 to 6, before brilliantly concluding the group stage with a large success 32 to 0.
Qualified for the finalthe players played a very committed match but ultimately lost 9 to 8. Despite this defeat, the students showed a impeccable behaviorof a excellent sportsmanship and gave the best of themselves throughout the afternoon.
The second day of the district championship will take place January 21, 2026again at the Nicolas Copernic college, in Saint-Vallier.
