Uribe and Teruel highlighted the dedication to Monegro, a great human being and basketball man, who was president of the National District Basketball Association (Abadina), from where he promoted mini-basketball during his two years in office, and currently heads the Organizing Committee of the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.

Teruel highlighted that in the Elimination Stage of the National Minibasketball Convivio, for athletes aged 11 and 12, 32 teams will participate, one for each province of the Fedombal member associations, with a total of 320 athletes (between males and females).
