IFK Norrköping sells its coach Martin Falk, 30.
“Buying club will present the transfer later this week”, writes IFK Norrköping on its homepage.
At the same time, the club confirms that Eldar Abdulic, 38, will be “Peking’s” new coach.
Martin Falk signed a three-year contract with IFK Norrköping ahead of the 2025 season.
But it was only one year at the club. Now Falk is leaving, after IFK Norrköping was relegated to the super league.
– I would like to thank everyone who supported us despite an incredibly tough year. I really wish we could have delivered better results. I am eternally grateful for your unconditional support, says Falk to IFK Norrköping’s website.
“Peking” also announces that Falk has been bought by another club.

The replacement: “Feels amazing”
Later on Tuesday evening, the club confirmed who will take over from Falk.
It will be Eldar Abdulic, who most recently comes from the head coaching assignment in Sandvikens IF.
– It feels absolutely fantastic. When I spoke to Henrik (Jurelius, sports director) the first time and he presented everything, I got the feeling you want to eat in your stomach. Now I just want to go in and drive, says Abdulic to the club’s website.

IFK Norrköping’s sporting director Henrik Jurelius comments on the recruitment:
– Eldar possesses several of the qualities that we were looking for and that we believe are important in the restart that the club is facing next season, he says and then continues:
– We welcome Eldar to IFK Norrköping and look forward to the journey we will make together with the entire city.
Eldar Abdulic stepped in as an assistant coach in Sandviken in 2022, but took over the main responsibility after half the season.
