Last Saturday, Tomiño became the epicenter of Galician archery with the celebration of the IFAA 2025 Galician League Final, an event that put the finishing touch to the season and left a very satisfactory balance both at a sporting and organizational level. The competition took place in the A Carballa Pavilion, in an intense day that took place between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
During the morning, two Standard Indoor events were held, in which the archers demonstrated a high technical level and a great capacity for concentration. The demands of the format, with a high number of shots, took its toll especially in the second part of the competition, where the accumulated fatigue was noticeable among the participants.
Athletes from different clubs participated in the final, including Club Arco Trasno from Tomiño, Arqueros Ártabros from A Coruña and the Madrid club Arcosande, reflecting the open nature and growing attractiveness of this league, which adds more followers every year.
Once the competition was over, the official presentation of the IFAA 2025 Galician League trophies took place, recognizing the effort and consistency shown throughout the season in the different categories. The winners left a wide list of champions, with representation of all ages and modalities, from basic categories to veterans.
Among the winners, the following stood out, among others:
Julio Sande Vázquez, Carmen Figueroa Salgueiro, Roberto Millán Araujo, Francisco Meis González, José Ángel Alonso Otero, Anxo Pereira Fernández, Manuel González García, Adrián Millán Figueroa, Manuel Mata Castro, Filiberto Méndez Iglesias, Amanda Cabanelas Díaz, Valentina Álvarez Barros, Alba Barros Guerrero and María del Carmen Serra Naya, all of them first classified in their respective categories, while that Laura Domínguez Álvarez achieved the Silver and Sira Álvarez Conde the Bronze.
The day concluded with a fellowship meal at the Woody Pool establishment, in the center of Tomiño, where athletes, technicians and companions shared a relaxed moment that served to strengthen the ties between clubs and highlight the spirit of camaraderie that characterizes this discipline.
The Arco Trasno Club is already looking towards 2026, with new challenges ahead and the commitment to continue promoting this sport and the values that define it.
