Olympique Lyonnais is moving forward on the Himad Abdelli file. The Angers midfielder (26 years old, 13 games and 2 goals in L1 this season) would have been convinced by the Rhone residents to leave the SCO this winter, six months before the end of his contract, according to L’Equipe.
The Lyon club must now reach an agreement with Angers to finalize the transfer. The SCO, reluctant to let go of its best player in the middle of the championship, could ask for a little more than a million euros to let him go. It’s not easy but the deal seems to be on the right track. At the same time, OL could part with Tanner Tessmann if an interesting offer arrives for the American.
The recruitment of Abdelli would respond to a real need for Lyon, which wants to strengthen its midfielder before the second part of the season. The signing could be done quickly if the two clubs agree on the amount.
