The two players certainly joked after Pep Guardiola’s warnings. In comments relayed by the Daily Mail, the Spanish technician confirmed that he had introduced a weigh-in after the Christmas meal so that his players were in shape before facing Nottingham Forest.
“They can eat, but I want to control them. I have to make a selection for the 27th against Nottingham Forest. Imagine a player who is perfect but who comes back three kilos heavier? He will stay in Manchester. He will not travel to Nottingham Forest. That’s for sure,” explained the former Barça coach.
