The National Youth Territorial Program continues with the “Generazione Alfa” and “Fenice” projects dedicated to very young recurve and compound archers, which stopped this weekend in Latina. The boys and girls from Lazio met together with their personal technicians at the Pala Tiro con l’Arco, home of the Arco Club Pontino, to work together with the staff of the National Youth Team.

The 3 days of training between national and personal technicians and the technical evaluations of the 23 athletes from the region by the project managers was judged a success by all those present, also confirmed by the President of FITARCO, Vittorio Polidoriwho spoke on Saturday 22nd sharing some moments of the technical meeting with all the participants present.
Ernesto Caruccipresident of the Lazio Regional Committee: “We had a participation of 90% among those called up, the most deserving in the region, I am very satisfied, also and above all for my double role, as coach and regional president, a unique opportunity, where it was possible to compare personal experiences with the national team coaches, an experience to be repeated, perhaps even outdoors, despite the fact that the indoor facility in Latina lends itself, in terms of hospitality and capacity, to hosting events of this caliber, a fundamental place for the whole regional technical activity and beyond”.
Flavio Valesella Fitarco manager of the compound, confirmed the “family atmosphere” that can be felt in Latina and defined this meeting as “…beyond expectations, as regards the athletes of the compound division, a perfect organization, a very high availability on the part of the technicians, parents and athletes present, with a continuous and profitable exchange”.
Matteo BisiansFitarco’s recurve manager, for his part, confirmed the collaborative climate established over these 3 days: “I had the pleasure of sharing an intense, formative and educational moment at the same time, we are taking the best from these meetings in the area and trying to all team up together, if something works, even if it’s not in the program, why not look into it further? Why not make the most of it?”.
Isabella Meattiniresponsible for the program in the area: “I received only praise of enthusiasm and pure all-round involvement from everyone, athletes, personal coaches and parents.”
Matteo Uggeri: “First time here in Latina for me, I must say that I found personal technicians who were prepared, involved and very predisposed to collaboration, to a mutual exchange of ideas, despite many young athletes having recently embraced the compound division, the level I found was very high”.
Claudia Mandia: “Being on this side and not directly on the firing line is stimulating, constructive, just as these 3 days spent together with the boys, their technicians and their parents were constructive. Each region has its own peculiarities, characteristics that help us from time to time to improve ourselves and improve the dialogue with the boys and girls with whom we collaborate, in a climate of mutual exchange and growth for everyone”.
Jacopo Cimmarusti: “I pleasantly noticed a lot of involvement on the part of the kids, I saw a lot of desire to do, a very pleasant sharing on the part of the technicians, an experience that lays the foundations for an even more strengthening and enriching path”.
Lastly, we report the words of the president of the ASD Arco Club Pontino, Carlo Calvacca: “I am grateful to the Regional Committee, and to Fitarco, for the opportunity to host high-level technical meetings, especially when it comes to kids and sporting growth. We are not new to moments like this, Flavio Valesella can confirm this, but it is always stimulating to be protagonists, even if indirect, of a moment of growth and comparison, especially for the future. I especially thank my staff, present at my side for all 3 days, a team works when the roles are well defined, I can boast to have a top-level team that supports our every initiative.”
