“Strasbourg” led by Latvian coach Jānis Gailīš won the game of the French basketball league tonight, which, playing its most productive game of the season, beat “Limoges” at home with a score of 100:82.
The Strasbourg team was in the lead at the beginning of the first quarter, but after reaching 9:7, they did not give the reins to the opponents in the continuation of the game. “Strasbourg” went into the halftime break with an eight-point advantage, reached +19 in the third quarter, and although “Limoges” closed to -10 in the final quarter, the guests did not manage to threaten the home team’s success.
The American Mike Davis, who scored 29 points, set his season record, showed a great performance in the ranks of the club coached by Gailiš. In the Limoges team, 17 points for Serbian Nikolas Jovanovic.
This was the ninth victory in 13 games for “Strasbourg”, which allows them to be in fourth place in the overall standings of the French championship. In front of the Strasbourg team are only “Monaco”, “Paris” and Villerban ASVEL teams playing in the ULEB Euroleague.
