Franck Haise: Next Nice Manager Rumors & Update

When will the crisis end in Nice, Charles Vanhoutte’s club? “We must use every opportunity to move forward”

This decision would come less than ten days after the appointment of former manager Jean-Pierre Rivère in place of Fabrice Bocquet as CEO of the club. Arriving in November 2022 as general manager, Bocquet became CEO and succeeded Rivère at the start of the season.

“We come on a mission to keep the club in L1,” Rivère indicated in mid-December, already president of the club from July 2011 to January 2019, then from August 2019 to July 2025. Maurice Cohen, president from June 2002 to September 2009 and returned to the club as deputy vice-president, for his part spoke of a “commando mission”.

“If we are here, it is to take over the club, with the people in place because there are skills. Franck (Haise) and Florian (Maurice) are a force. We will all be united and mobilize. But we are not magicians. That does not guarantee success,” he insisted ten days ago.

But the new management duo finally decided to part ways with Franck Haise and would have chosen Claude Puel to replace him. He would return to Nice ten years later (2012-2016), with Julien Sablé, current coach of the Elite group, as his assistant.

Nice’s next match is the reception of Strasbourg next Saturday (7:00 p.m.).

Off the field, the players, staff and management were marked by tensions with the supporters at the beginning of December: nearly 200 ultra supporters came to the training center to express their anger at the Nice players and managers, returning from a match in Lorient after losing in the afternoon (3-1) in Ligue 1, their sixth defeat in a row in all competitions at the time.

According to several witnesses to these incidents, attackers Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga, as well as sports director Florian Maurice, had been targeted in particular.

Complaints were filed by players and by the club against X and an investigation was opened for “aggravated violence, participation in a group preparing violence or damage and failure to prevent an offense against bodily integrity”.
