Othmane Boussaid is still playing in the United Arab Emirates for the time being, but is about to make his big comeback in Europe this winter.
Boussaid was born in Kortrijk. The 25-year-old Belgian-Moroccan left winger trained at Kerels, Club Brugge and Lierse, before leaving Belgium for Utrecht in 2018.
He was loaned to NAC Breda for one season, but mainly played for Utrecht. He played 144 games for the club (11 goals, 18 assists), 126 of which were in the Eredivisie. In 2024, the player went to the United Arab Emirates to play for Al-Nasr.
There he signed a lucrative contract, but the player’s agreement expires in mid-2026, which means he is already looking for a possible new employer.
Boussaid will sign in Greece
According to the Greek press and Transferfeed Boussaid will now sign with Aris Thessaloniki. He was due to join the club in January and undergo his medical examination on Monday.
Aris, number seven in Greece, is said to have a 2.5-year contract ready. Boussaid is the first winter transfer of the club, which also has Noah Fadiga (ex-Ghent) on its payroll.
