While many supporters’ associations denounced the “astronomical” prices of tickets for the 2026 World Cup, Fifa announced this Tuesday tickets at $60.
Supporters of teams qualified for the 2026 World Cup will pay 60 dollars (around 51 euros) per match for their ticket, Fifa announced on Tuesday in response to associations denouncing “astronomical” prices.
A news “category +Support Entry+” will offer tickets “at 60 US dollars each and available for all 104 matches”including the World Cup final, which will bring together 48 teams next summer in the United States, Mexico and Canada, Fifa said in a press release. “This initiative aims to further support supporters who follow their national team throughout the tournament”added the governing body of world football.

Last Thursday, the Football Supporters Europe (FSE) association was outraged by “astronomical prices (…) imposed by Fifa on the most loyal supporters” . According to information from FSE which claimed to have seen “the price scales published progressively and confidentially by Fifa”follow your team from the first match until the final “would cost at least 6,900 dollars (around 6,000 euros)” to a supporter, “nearly five times more than during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar”.
According to FIFA, “20 million ticket requests have been received to date during the current draw sales phase”which began last Thursday.
