The FCK annual general meeting 2025 is over. On Wednesday evening, the Red Devils announced a membership record and a contract extension.
Update from December 11th: 1. FC Kaiserslautern reported a new membership record at its annual general meeting. The association currently has 39,100 members, which is a historic high. During the meeting, the idea of opening the “fan column” was discussed again. However, this will not be implemented for the time being.
“Opening the fan column is currently not possible for economic reasons. We would have to go into pre-financing and we don’t have the money. We also have uncertainty as to who would actually buy the shares,” said Lautern board member Thorsten Lill, explaining the current situation.
Talent Dion Hofmeister extends long-term contract with FCK
However, there was good news from a sporting perspective: FCK managing director Thomas Hengen announced at the general meeting that 16-year-old young talent Dion Hofmeister has extended his contract with the Red Devils for the long term.
Annual general meeting at FCK – this is what members have to take into account
First report: 1. FC Kaiserslautern calls its members together. The annual general meeting of the traditional club will take place today, Wednesday, December 10, 2025. For many fans, this date is an integral part of the club’s calendar. The AGM offers the opportunity to have a say in the future of the club. This year there are particularly explosive topics on the agenda. We’ll tell you everything you need to know about today’s annual general meeting at 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
As in previous years, the FCK relies on a hybrid format. Members can appear on site at the stadium or participate on screen from the comfort of their own home. This flexibility is intended to enable as many supporters as possible to actively participate. In addition to the usual committee reports, two central decisions await the meeting: the confirmation of board member Thorsten Lill and changes to the statutes.
What do members need to know about the annual general meeting at FCK?
The AGM begins at 6 p.m. in the Fritz Walter Stadium on the Norbert Thines North Stand, level 1900. If you would like to participate virtually, you will need access data. These will be sent by email after members have registered at news.fck.de/jhv. Late registration is also possible until the end of the meeting. However, the club could then no longer guarantee that the login data would be sent on time.
The agenda includes 13 points – the most important ones at a glance: After the welcome, commemoration of the dead and honors, the reports from the board, club council, administrative board and auditors follow. The management of 1. FC Kaiserslautern Management GmbH is also accountable. The members then vote on the discharge of the executive board and the administrative board.
The confirmation of Thorsten Lill as a board member will then be voted on, before discussion and resolution on the changes to the statutes mutually proposed by the committees follow. The association writes on its website: “The proposed changes to the statutes reflect the experiences of the association’s committees from the past two years after the amendment to the statutes in July 2023.”
The history of the Red Devils can currently also be experienced in the museum: In Speyer, the “Football Fever” exhibition shows legendary derbies from the southwest – with the FCK in focus.
