The Vienna sports club is giving itself a Christmas present: As the regional league team announces, Konstantin Kerschbaumer (33) is signing in Hernals.
The central midfielder was most recently employed by the crashed SV Stripfing and played over the course of his career for the English club Brentford, as well as in Germany for 1. FC Heidenheim, Arminia Bielefeld and Ingolstadt. In Austria he was active at WAC, Admira and SKN St. Pölten, among others.

“With Konstantin, an opportunity has opened up for us that was incredibly exciting for us from the first internal discussion on this to the first conversation with Konstantin. Konstantin has not only shown as a player in all his positions what skills have taken him to England, but also shows an immense understanding of the game in every conversation and is a real leader because of his style,” says WSC section leader David Krapf-Günther, happy about the new addition.
For Kerschbaumer himself, it was “a clear decision for a club with a unique atmosphere in and around the club that every footballer knows. I’ve been able to experience a lot in football, I’ve seen a lot, so getting involved with the Vienna Sports Club is a very attractive task for me.”
