Valentijn Driessen believes that Marijn Beuker’s position at Ajax can no longer be maintained. The football chief of De Telegraaf disputes the credibility of the football director through a number of actions on his Linkedin.
In Today Inside, Driessen is asked about Beuker’s position at Ajax. “In fact, it can no longer be maintained. There was already a story in the NRC that he is playing with the truth. On his Linkedin he indicates that he has completed a course in sports management and sports psychology. That turns out to be part of commercial economics. That is actually nonsense.”
Beuker would also not have been honest on his Linkedin in other areas, which makes Driessen strongly doubt his credibility. “He would have done an internship at Nice and Espanyol. Then he was on holiday and attended a number of training sessions. Then I think: where is your credibility? As a club, you should never want that again. Ajax has to take care of that itself, the new technical director.”
Chief scout Kelvin de Lang recently announced his departure from Ajax. Due to ‘recent developments’ he would no longer like being at the club. De Lang worked a lot with Beuker and Alex Kroes, the technical director who made his position available at Ajax after the departure of coach John Heitinga.
