The American Department of Justice announced Wednesday, December 24, that it was examining “more than a million documents” potentially linked to the Epstein affair for possible release, which could take “several weeks.”
The Trump administration, constrained by Congress, began on Friday to gradually release tens of thousands of photos and documents linked to sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 before his trial. A New York prosecutor and federal police “have informed the Department of Justice that they have discovered more than one million additional documents potentially related to the Epstein case,” according to a department post on X.
“Our lawyers are working tirelessly to review these documents and make the necessary changes to protect victims, and we will release the documents as quickly as possible,” assured the Department of Justice, led by loyalists of President Donald Trump. “Due to the massive amount of material, this could take several more weeks,” he warned.
