Djokovic Return Date: ATP Comeback Confirmed

We know Novak Djokovic’s recovery date. The Serbian will play the ATP 250 tournament in Adelaide (January 12 to 17) to prepare for the Australian Open (January 18-February 1) where he will aim for an 11th trophy and a 25th Grand Slam title, the organizers of the Australian tennis tournament announced on Tuesday.

The Djoker, aged 38 and now 4th in the world, has played and won the Adelaide tournament twice in his career (2007 and 2023). Last year, he played in Brisbane (loss in the quarters against Reilly Opelka) before reaching the semi-finals in Melbourne (beaten by Alexander Zverev).

Djokovic will aim for 11th Australian Open title

With the exception of 2017 when he was injured, Djokovic won at least one Grand Slam tournament every season from 2010 to 2023. His last Major dates back to the 2023 US Open and since then, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have tied for the eight biggest tournaments.

On the ATP circuit, Djokovic won in 2025 in Geneva in May and in Athens in November, the last of the tournaments he played this year before giving up the Masters.

Also announced in January in Adelaide are Jack Draper, Joao Fonseca, Tommy Paul and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
