(MINNEAPOLIS, from our reporter) Another offensive concert, this time with a winning point. During her second appearance at the MSJ 2026 in Minnesota, the Czech twentysomething taught. She took the reins of the match against paper-weak Denmark firmly about halfway through and scored three points in a comfortable 7-2 win.

Head coach Patrik Augusta said before the game that the longer the 0-0 score lasts, the greater chance the Danes will have. However, the Czechs overcame the fierce opponent’s defense for the first time already at the end of the 3rd minute, when Vojtěch Čihař opened the scoring with a run in front of the goal – 0:1.

But this blow did not break the outsider yet, as Petersen equalized in less than three minutes. In the 12th minute, Matěj Kubiesa returned the lead to the Czech clubs with a sharp power shot from the circle – 1:2. Before that, Olesen was expelled for five and until the end, who sharply shot down Čihar.

Another numerical advantage was used by the national team from the edge of the middle part, when the young goalkeeper Wilde (17) was caught by Václav Nestrašil with a shot to the near post. The last Danish flash came in the 25th minute, when Larsen reduced the score – 2:3.

About half way through the regular playing time, the Czechs had already firmly grasped the reins of the match. With a score of 2:5, we went to the cabins thanks to the hits of Adam Jiříček and Štěpán Hoch.

Before the third period, it was highly likely that the evening game in Minneapolis would not bring surprises. The tempo dropped, the Danes only peeked out here and there with excessively hard play. However, the Czechs were hitting each other. In the 45th minute, Tomáš Galvas used another power play, which was quickly followed up by Richard Žemlička.

Thus, after an excellent performance against Canada (a 5:7 loss), the national team was able to change to the role of a clear favorite and managed the duel with the Danes without major complications. Even the lousy atmosphere didn’t break him. According to official data, over three thousand spectators watched the match, but this figure seems very inflated.
