Darius Garland it is not currently available on the market.
The Cleveland Cavaliers had started the season well (record 12-6), but since then a crisis began that led them to 17 victories e 16 defeats. Naturally, in a situation like this, the first thing that starts to circulate are trade rumors. But, at the moment, Garland he is not involved in any of them.
“Perhaps the situation will change as the trade deadline approaches, scheduled for February 5” he wrote Jake Fischer, in the newsletter Stein Line. “The vultures are certainly already flying, well aware that the Cavaliers have the highest payroll in the league and are well below their expectations. But they are still waiting for the green light to make concrete offers to Garland or Jarrett Allen. There are always trade rumors surrounding Garland, but I can only disappoint those who have regularly put his name in their favorite trade machine this winter. I have not heard any credible rumors about his availability on the market.”
Fischer he also gave a theory as to why he thinks there is so much hype around Garlandreferring to the most recent rumors, which linked him to the San Antonio Spurs.
“My sense is that much of the incessant hype around Garland stems from what happened a couple of seasons ago, when his agent at Klutch Sports was rumored to be pushing for a trade that would take him to San Antonio, alongside Victor Wembanyama. There was a lot of talk about pairing a top guard with the Frenchman. (Also Trae Youngwhich in that period was represented by Klutchhas often been included in this discussion), but all these rumors were put to rest in February, when De’Aaron Fox was traded.”
