D’Alessandro Departs Inter: Transfer News

D’Alessandro will not remain at Inter next year.

Inter will have to look for a sporting director for 2026. Andrés D’Alessandro left his position after a meeting held this Tuesday (9), which also made official the departure of executive André Mazzuco. The Colorado idol and management reached a consensus on changes in the direction of football.

Abel Braga was informed about D’Alessandro’s departure. The coach responsible for saving Inter from Serie B is tipped to take up a position in the management and has spoken publicly that he would like to work with D’Alessandro. It did not even rule out call him to coach.

But after an exhausting year, and a second semester of extreme difficulty, club and professional chose to leave. As reported by Inter in a statement, the Argentine’s departure is due to personal issues. This Wednesday (10), other names may be announced. On Friday (12), president Alessandro Barcellos will hold a press conference in Beira-Rio to plan the club’s next steps.

A Colorado idol on the field, being champion of the 2010 Libertadores and 2008 Sudamericana, the Argentine has served as sporting director since August 2024, when he was announced alongside André Mazzuco. Before his time as manager at Inter, he worked as technical coordinator at Cruzeiro, in 2023.

Sport Club Internacional informs changes in the Men’s Football Department. The Executive Director of Football, André Mazzuco, and the Sports Director, D’Alessandro, leave their positions, in a stage aligned with the sector’s reorganization process for the 2026 season. In the case of D’Alessandro, the decision is due to personal reasons.

The Club thanks the two professionals for the work carried out during the period, which involved relevant contributions in fifth place in the 2024 Brasileirão, in leading the team’s return to the CT Parque Gigante, with structural improvements and advances in internal processes, and in the undefeated victory of the 2025 Gauchão. Also noteworthy is D’Alessandro’s full involvement with the institution, a historical idol who reinforced the identity with the Club in the Football Department during his time there. Inter wishes them both success and success in continuing their trajectories.

The Department will be led on an interim basis by the Club’s technical team until the next steps are defined.
