Amazon begins to smile with the NFL. Just a few days after making history with the Black Friday game between the Chicago Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles with an average of 16.33 million viewers in the United States, being the most watched game on Black Friday, the online giant achieved a new record, now with the Dallas Cowboys.
The game between the Cowboys and the Detroit Lions which was held on Thursday, December 4, had an average of 19.39 million viewersthe most since they began broadcasting Thursday Night games in 2022.
Amazon Prime Video said the Cowboys vs. Lions game averaged 19.39 million viewers. It is the most-watched TNF on Prime regular season game ever.

Until before last Thursday, the record was 17.76 million viewerswhich had a game on September 11 in which the Washington Commanders faced the Green Bay Packers in week 2 of the NFL regular season.
Amazon, a historic agreement
This figure even exceeds the 18.6 million viewers per game on all networks, the league’s best mark through Week 13 since 1989.
Throughout the 2025 NFL season to date, Amazon is averaging 15.2 million viewers, up 15% from the comparable year last year and up 28% from 2023.
