The Bruges player quickly became a pillar of the Club. Every week, a new team shows up. Today, even the great Real Madrid would be interested in him, but the problem remains the same.
Aleksandar Stankovic joined Bruges last summer. The Club acquired him for nearly 9.5 million euros from Inter Milan. The midfielder has many strengths to showcase, which has attracted the attention of big clubs.
Last week, Arsenal was the latest in a long list of clubs to express interest after Tottenham, Bayer Leverkusen and AZ, among others. Let’s cite Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund… There is no shortage of interested parties for the Serbian son of Inter legend Dejan Stankovic.
And this week, according to Spanish sources (including Diario AS), Real Madrid would join the long list of clubs interested in the Bruges player.
Buyback option of 23 million euros
Despite the interest of a club as prestigious as Real, the problem remains the same as for all other clubs: Inter Milan has an option to buy back its former player.
So, if they recruit him next summer, the Milanese will have to pay 23 million euros. A year later, this amount will increase to 27 million euros. Recruiting him and then selling him to Real Madrid at an even higher price could also become an option for Inter if the player finishes the season at the same pace.
