Inter are set to face Bologna in the semi-final of the EA Sports FC Supercup 2025/26: the Nerazzurri will take to the field at 8:00 PM CET (10:00 PM Saudi Arabia time, AST) on Friday, December 19, at Al-Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh, in what will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams in the history of the competition.

Bologna and Inter have faced each other 182 times in all competitions. The Nerazzurri have won 90 of those meetings, compared to 52 victories for Bologna and 40 draws completing the record. Inter are the team that have scored the most goals against Bologna in all competitions since 1929/30 (288 goals). Considering all competitions, Bologna have remained unbeaten in five of their last six matches against Inter (3 wins, 2 draws). However, Inter have recorded 11 victories in the last 16 official meetings with Bologna (2 draws, 3 losses).

Bologna and Inter will meet on neutral ground for only the second time in their history in all competitions after the play-off to decide the 1963/64 Serie A title. On that occasion, at the Olimpico in Rome, Bologna won 2–0 (an own goal by Facchetti and a goal by Nielsen), securing what remains the most recent of the seven league titles won by the Rossoblù.

Inter will take part in the Supercoppa Italiana for the 14th time in their history and come into the match top of the Serie A with 33 points after 14 matches. In 2025, the Nerazzurri have won 38 matches across all competitions: surpassed only in 2023 (39 wins) and 2005 (40). Chivu’s side also boast the best attack in Serie A with 34 goals scored and, together with Bologna, are the teams that have scored the most goals across all competitions in the 2025/26 season (excluding the FIFA Club World Cup): 51 for the Nerazzurri and 34 for the Rossoblù. Defensively, Inter are the Serie A team with the highest number of clean-sheets across all competitions since the beginning of August (10). Compared to the top five European leagues, only Arsenal (15), Lyon (13), and Crystal Palace (12) have recorded more clean sheets than the Nerazzurri in that period.

RECORD BREAKING LAUTARO
No player has scored more goals than Lautaro Martínez (fourtied with Dybala) in the Italian Super Cup. Since his arrival to Italy in the 2018/19 season, the Nerazzurri striker has been one of only two players to both score and provide an assist in the highest number of different matches across all competitions: 19, including the most recent league fixture away at Genoa. In addition, the captain is the only player to have scored in four different editions of the Supercoppa Italiana (one goal in each of the last four) and has already scored against three different opponents in the competition, another record in the tournament’s history.
Against Bologna, the Argentine forward has alternated between scoring and not in his last eight meetings (four goals in total), failing to score in the most recent encounter on April 20 in Serie A.

INTER COOPERATIVA DEL GOL
Inter is the team that has scored the highest number of different players in the history of the Italian Super Cup: 23, at least four more than any other club that has ever participated in the tournament. The Nerazzurri confirmed themselves as a goal cooperative also in the 2025/26 Serie A, with 13 players scoring at least one goal. Many goals, protagonists and intense work on the flanks which finds Bologna a valid challenger: both the Emilians and the Nerazzurri are, in fact, the Serie A teams that boast the most successful crosses from open play among all the 2025/26 competitions (Club World Cup excluded) – 94 for the Rossoblù and 90 for the Nerazzurri.

Hakan Çalhanoglu was involved in seven goals in all competitions against Bologna (3G+4A): since the start of 2025, the Turkish midfielder is the Serie A player who has scored the most goals from outside the area in all competitions: six, one more than all those scored from distance by Bologna this calendar year (five).
