The elite of world biathlon are arriving in France this week. The circuit sets up shop in Annecy-Le Grand Bornand from December 18 to 21 to host six events. On the program, three men’s and three women’s races, in three different formats.
The events will begin this Thursday, December 18, at 2:15 p.m., with the women’s sprint. The men’s sprint will take place the next day, Friday December 19, at 2:15 p.m. Then the weekend will have two daily events.
For Saturday, it’s time for the women’s pursuit at 12:15 p.m., before its men’s counterpart at 2:45 p.m. Sunday will be devoted to the mass start with departures at the same times: 12:15 p.m. for women and 2:45 p.m. for men.
In each of these six events, the Blues still have a good chance of success. The women follow them in particular, carried by Lou Jeanmonnot, despite a deleterious atmosphere, between suspension of Julia Simon and threats towards Justine Braisaz-Bouchet.
Among the men, Éric Perrot won the last sprint, in Austria, while Quentin Fillon Maillet won in the first pursuit of the season.
The biathlon events can be followed on La Chaîne L’Équipe. The broadcast begins at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday December 18 and Friday December 19, while it starts at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday December 20 and Sunday December 21.
