Biathlon Grand-Bornand: Jacquelin 2nd, Perrot 4th – Pursuit Results

The air of Grand-Bornand is obviously working well for the Tricolores. After Lou Jeanmonnot’s victory a little earlier in the day, Émilien Jacquelin finished second in the pursuit this Saturday behind the untouchable Johan-Olav Botn, who went for his 3rd victory of the season by being very calm on the skis with a 20/20 shooting.

Third Friday in the sprint, the Frenchman was very aggressive in shooting despite his three misses which gave him as many penalty laps. Above all, he was able to count on his speed on skis to stay attached to the leading duo.

The Frenchman was also able to take advantage of the misstep of Johannes Dale-Skjevdal, second throughout the race before cracking during the last standing shooting session with two misses and two penalty laps.

Éric Perrot at the foot of the podium

Less comfortable in the sprint on Friday, Éric Perrot, who started in 8th position, regained confidence in this pursuit with a very good 19/20 shooting. Neck and neck with Émilien Jacquelin and Johannes Dale-Skjevdal, he failed to keep up the pace on skis and crossed the finish line in 4th position.
