Like every week following a championship weekend, the LFP disciplinary committee met to rule on the various disciplinary events that marked the weekend on French professional fields. In Ligue 2a red card was distributed but another incident during Bastia – Red Star, marked the 16th day. Here is the decision of the LFP on December 10, 2025.
Friday evening, Nicolas Saint-Ruff was the only player to be sent off on the Ligue 2 pitches. The Nancy defender was sent off after conceding the penalty which allowed Grenoble to win 1-0.
The major event of the weekend occurred in Bastia during the match between the Corsican club and Red Star. In the 56th minute, when the score was 0-0, Bradley Danger, Ile-de-France player, received a smoke bomb from the Furiani stands.
Surveillance cameras would have made it possible to identify the author of this gesture. A new event which exasperates the authorities in Haute-Corse. This is not the first incident to occur at the Stade Armand Cesari in recent times…
An exemplary sanction for Bastia?
Several sanctions were considered by the LFP. If the placement of the file under investigation before a final decision concerning the fate of the meeting was more than probable. Sporting could already expect Furiani to close for several of its next home matches. A point withdrawal could be considered.
Concerning the meeting, several possibilities have also been mentioned since Friday: resumption of the meeting behind closed doors, match to be replayed, victory for Red Star on the green carpet…

Behavior of SC Bastia supporters: use and throwing of pyrotechnic devices, one of which hit a participant in the match, causing the match to be definitively stopped and oral expressions observed
Given the seriousness of the facts, the LFP Disciplinary Committee decides to put the case under investigation.
The decision will be made at the end of the meeting on Monday December 22, 2025.”
Note that Tom Louchet received a three-match firm suspension after his red card picked up this Sunday against Angers. The Nice player will miss the ASSE reception next Sunday in the Coupe de France.
