The badminton club of Saint-Samson-sur-Rance (Côtes-d’Armor) will once again organize a mixed doubles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles tournament this year, in support of the Telethon. “This Telethon will be special because we are dedicating it to Baptiste Germain, who died this summer from Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of 31. His brother, Valentin and his sister-in-law Marion are two members of the club, so we will give our all in memory of Baptiste, Friday” explains Gaël Robert, the president of Samson badminton.
On the Telethon program
On Friday December 5 and Saturday December 6, associations mobilize around cultural and sporting activities to raise funds for the Telethon.
Friday evening at 7 p.m., sports hall, badminton tournament; Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. baby basketball and matches from 1 p.m. (€0.50 donated for each basket scored); at 2 p.m. pedestrian walk departing from the sports hall; at 2:30 p.m. in the library, classical guitar recital; at 3 p.m. 11 km nature race departing from the sports hall; 8 p.m. indoor football tournament (contact 06 63 80 43 01).
Catering and refreshments on site, as well as two ballot boxes will be available to the public.

“All donations collected, from the commitments, the refreshment bar and the T-shirts, will be donated in full to the benefit of the Telethon. We also opened a fundraiser so that people who cannot come to Saint-Samson can still make donations in memory of Baptiste and to support all those who fight every day with the sick and those around them.
