Alexander Zverev has arrived in Australia and is getting the finishing touches for the United Cup in Sydney.

Alexander Zverev arrived in Australia shortly after the Christmas holidays. This can be seen from an Instagram story by the German, which shows him in the Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney. The world number three will also start the new season there on January 4th at the United Cup.
In addition to Zverev, the German team consists of Eva Lys and Laura Siegemund. Kevin Krawietz, Patrick Zahraj and Mina Hodzic. In the group stage, Germany will first face the Netherlands before facing Poland, led by Iga Swiatek, on January 5th. Successful qualification for the quarter-finals would not continue until January 8th at the earliest.
Zverev comes to Australia with good memories
Zverev has good memories of the United Cup, as he played a crucial role in winning the title in 2024. In any case, the 28-year-old feels right at home Down Under: In 2025 he showed probably his best performances of the season at the Australian Open and only lost in the final against Jannik Sinner.
Of course, the Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne is Zverev’s big goal in Australia this time too. After an overall botched 2025 season in which he only won one title in Munich, the German is still chasing his first major trophy.
