EIt sounded spectacular what the German basketball players had to do to make it to the Sportsman of the Year election in Baden-Baden in time. Or rather what the organizers had put in place. However, the live broadcast of the athlete election on ZDF began at 8 p.m., almost on time for the final siren in Cologne.
