Arthur Fils is apparently planning a comeback in Hong Kong

You have to admit at least one thing to the press office of the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Hong Kong: there is no lack of output there. And so the next press release arrives. And lo and behold: Arthur Fils now seems to be fit enough to compete in Hong Kong. As a reminder: Fils suffered a stress fracture in Roland-Garros, and his only attempt at a comeback in Toronto was not satisfactory.

Fils had made a big show in the spring of 2025; in Monte-Carlos the Frenchman almost managed a victory against the eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz. At the French Open he dragged himself through the match against Jaume Munar, before the emergency brake had to be pulled. So now there should be a comeback.

One of Arthur Fils’ compatriots is competing in Hong Kong as defending champion: Alexandre Müller won his very first championship there at the beginning of the 2025 season, and Müller was also quite impressive in the months that followed.
