Arsenal: Europa League Semifinalists

The Gunners will face Chelsea in the semi-finals, after their victory Tuesday evening on penalties against Crystal Palace (1-1, 8 tab. to 7).

Arsenal found their way to the semi-finals of the English League Cup by beating Crystal Palace after a long penalty shootout, 8-7 (1-1 at the end of normal time) Tuesday on the pitch at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners can say thank you to Maxence Lacroix, the French central defender of Crystal Palace, who had a nightmare evening: author of the own goal in the 80th which allowed Arsenal to open the scoring, he missed his penalty during the penalty shootout a few minutes later, effectively qualifying the Gunners for the next round. Marc Guehi had equalized for Palace on the gong in regulation time (90th + 5).
