RSC Anderlecht is looking for attacking reinforcements during the winter mercato. Coach Besnik Hasi previously made it clear that Goto’s return to STVV was an option, but the club is also looking at foreign options.
The name of Younes Ebnoutalib is prominently mentioned. According to Transfermarkt Ebnoutalib is under contract with SV Elversberg until June 2028. The 22-year-old striker has a current market value of approximately €6 million. He mainly plays as a centre-forward, but can also be deployed on the wing.
Journalist Patrick Berger reported that Eintracht Frankfurt is closely following the player. “Eintracht Frankfurt continues to insist on Younes Ebnoutalib,” it said. But other teams are also showing interest in the player.
Competition and price tag
Berger added that there is no full agreement with Frankfurt yet. “But we are working on it. It concerns a contract until at least 2030. However, Elversberg is asking for around 10 million euros. That is too much for Frankfurt for the time being.” The amount is far above the current market value and makes the transfer particularly expensive, not least for Belgian teams.
In addition to Frankfurt, Villarreal, Betis Sevilla and Celtic Glasgow are also in the market. According to Berger, Celtic Glasgow and Anderlecht are also taking their chances, as is an unnamed German first division team.
For Anderlecht, this means that the club must consider whether an investment of ten million euros is feasible. Brussels residents have previously experienced that the current rush hours do not yield sufficient returns and are therefore looking for alternatives. The price tag and competition make the situation complex.
🦅⚫️⚪️🔴 Eintracht Frankfurt continues to push Younes Ebnoutalib (22/🇩🇪). The Frankfurt native and Newcastle’s William Osula are expected to join the storm in the winter.
There is still no complete agreement between Ebnoutalib and #SGEbut we are working on it. It’s about contract until…
