Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
One of the nation’s hopeful young athletes, Alwi Farhanhave a wise plan for using bonuses SEA Games 2025.
Alwi brought home the men’s singles gold medal and played an important role in the success of the men’s team team at the Southeast Asian Games.
At the event to send off athletes to the 2025 SEA Games, President Prabowo Subianto stated that he would reward one gold coin with a bonus of IDR 1 billion. The gold bonus for the team team is not yet known, but it is believed that Alwi will receive more than IDR 1 billion.

The bonus didn’t dazzle Alwi’s eyes. This 20 year old young man born in Surakarta has a habit of investing when he receives a bonus. Before winning the 2025 SEA Games bonus, Alwi had already taken home prize money from BWF World Tour championships.
“Yes, maybe I honestly haven’t thought about it myself, because I’ve never held a lot of money. But usually I always invest it in land, houses, etc. So it’s definitely for my future savings,” said Alwi, quoted by Antara.
Alwi’s slick performance didn’t come from the sky and wasn’t a matter of turning the palm of his hand. There is a process that players who graduated from the Saribumi Solo and Exist Jakarta clubs have to go through.
“I have made many sacrifices and I know that what I have sacrificed will definitely be answered at the right time. Thank God, this SEA Games is the right time for me to prove everything,” said Alwi.
Throughout the SEA Games, in both team and individual events, the world number 17 badminton player beat a number of rivals in Southeast Asia such as Leong Jun Hao, Justin Hoh, Loh Kean Yew, and compatriot Moh Zaki Ubaidillah.
