ALLEGATION THAT AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN STARTED ABOUT BARDAKÇI AND YILMAZ
It was claimed that the prosecutor’s office started an investigation against Galatasaray football players Abdülkerim Bardakcı and Barış Alper Yılmaz after examining the phones of the detained players.
DENIAL FROM THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE
Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office made the following statement regarding the allegation:
News such as “An investigation has been launched against Galatasaray players Barış Alper Yılmaz and Abdülkerim Bardakcı within the scope of the investigation of betting and match-fixing in football” does not reflect the truth. “There is no such name-specific investigation.”
METEHAN BALTACI’S MESSAGES
According to Sabah’s report, it was claimed that the investigation against Yılmaz and Bardakcı was initiated after the WhatsApp conversations of Metehan Baltacı, who was banned from football for 9 months by the PFDK.
It was claimed that Baltacı rebelled against the punishment he received in his messages and said, “I have other conversations, brother. They deleted Eren, Apo, Barış and added them to me.”
