Frantic Saturday with the entire day unified, the last of the first round, with the ticket to the Spanish Cup at stake… and an ElPozo that, in its most exciting season in recent times, was proclaimed winter champion after drawing in Murcia (2-2) against Barça in a vibrant duel that had a special guest: Carlos Alcaraz. The local tennis player took the honor kick in front of 7,000 spectators and then celebrated his team’s goals.
Juanjo, historic goalkeeper, was also honored on a day in which another goalkeeper, Didac was a very protagonist: he avoided the local goals with his saves in the double-penalties and, in addition, scored 2-2 after a brilliant individual play. There were chances, intensity and fight in the remaining fifteen minutes. However, the scoreboard was not going to move in the duel between two teams who aim to continue competing in the second round with the pursuers at a considerable distance.
