Alassio. Three days in one of the most important Italian cities in basketball give the Ponenti players two cups and an unforgettable experience in two categories, Under 15 and Under 17.
UNDER 15: A large success, the result of the experience that all the kids are having in Eccellenza and which in the long run pays off with growth that will be useful not only in the immediate future but in the future of all those who want to continue playing for as long as they wish.
The gialloblù debut with the Lombardi of BK VITTUONE and after an indecisive start they take command of the match with all the boys on the scoresheet. On Sunday morning the Ligurians beat BRAMANTE PESARO (1st Team in Serie B) and in the afternoon CESENATICO earning a well-deserved Final.
In the final they find the Lombards of HUB DEL SEMPIONE who overcome thanks to all the boys protagonists on the pitch: “Congratulations to the boys and to Pietro on his first experience as head coach in one of the symbolic cities of basketball. The only regret is the absence of Andrea, ill, replaced at the last minute by his brother Davide and very happy instead for all those present who have had confirmation of how many improvements they have made and will make with this great group”.

UNDER 17: Fourth out of twelve participants, Cup and the pride of having faced all three teams that finished ahead of the Ponentini with exponential growth match after match. Debut with the first in the Marche Gold, POL. CESENATICO-CERVIA, and despite the physical gap the Ligurians only lose by 12.
The following day, victory against the Tuscans of VALDELSA allowed the yellow and blue team to reach the semi-final against the runners-up in Eccellenza from the Marche region, BRAMANTE PESARO, with whom they played well but in the end lost, remaining in the game for almost the entire match. In the 3rd-4th place final, the top teams in their Tuscan group, VALDARNO, face each other in a match where they advance, suffer the opposition, stay in the game but in the end lose by ten at the last after playing a great match: “We had a growing tournament and against really equipped teams. We are happy with the boys’ progress and we are convinced that they will benefit from it in the rest of the championship”.
