4-4 Draw: Goal-Fest Recap!

Eight goals were scored during Manchester United entertain Bournemouth. Both teams exchanged goals until the match ended in a 4-4 draw.

MU vs Bournemouth in the follow-up match Premier League took place at Old Trafford, Tuesday (16/12/2025). The hosts were able to open the scoring in the 13th minute through Amad Diallo.

Bournemouth responded to Antoine Semenyo’s goal in the 40th minute. MU was able to close the first half with a 2-1 lead after Casemiro scored a goal in the 45+4 minute.

The duel was fierce in the second half with goals scored. The Cherries were able to take the lead after scoring goals early in the second half through Evanilson in the 46th minute and Marcus Tavarnier in the 52nd minute.

MU then restored their lead by scoring two goals in just two minutes. MU’s two goals came from free kicks from Bruno Fernandes in the 77th minute and Matheus Cunha in the 79th minute.

However, MU failed to secure the three points after Eli Kroupi scored for Bournemouth in the 84th minute. Score equal 4-4.

This draw means MU is now in 8th place with 25 points. Bournemouth is in 15th position with 20 points.

The Course of the Match

The Red Devils appeared to be pressing at the start of the match. MU had a chance through Mason Mount. Mount’s shot was blocked by Djordje Petkovic in the 8th minute.

MU opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Diogo Dalot’s pass failed to be cut by Petkovic. The ball fell to Amad Diallo’s feet. Diallo controlled the ball then headed it into the goal.

The hosts had a chance to add a goal in the 26th minute. Brian Mbeumo can stab into the penalty box. However, his shot was too weak for Petkovic to save.

Bournemouth tried to respond. They had a golden opportunity when Marcus Tavarnier was able to head in a cross from the right side. MU survived conceding after Senne Lammens was able to parry the ball.

In the 36th minute, the visitors had another chance. Justin Kluivert received a pass from Evanilson in front of the goal. Justin’s control was not good enough that Lammens was able to attack.

Buying and selling attacks occurred in the middle of the first half. It was MU’s turn to have a chance through Casemiro in the 38th minute.

Antoine Semenyo got the ball after Luke Shaw lost the duel on the left. Semenyo stabbed into the penalty box then fired a low shot into the right corner of the MU goal.

Casemiro, who was standing at the far post, was able to head home a corner from Bruno Fernandes. Petkovic couldn’t stop his header.

Score 2-1 for MU to close the first half.

Bournemouth immediately kicked off after the break. Receiving feedback from Tavarnier, Evanilson fired a horizontal kick into the left corner of the MU goal. Lammens died when he saw his goal conceded in the 46th minute.

Tavarnier executed perfectly when he got a free kick in front of the MU goal. The free kick landed to the right of the MU goal in the 52nd minute.

Bruno Fernandes answered Tavarnier’s goal in the 77th minute. From almost the same position, Fernandes executed a free kick with a curved shot without being stopped by Petkovic.

Two minutes later MU restored their lead. Benjamin Sesko’s pass from the left side was blocked by the visiting team’s defender.

The ball goes to Mathues Cunha in front of the goal. Cunha calmly outwitted Petkovic in the 79th minute. The score changed 4-3 for MU.

Bournemouth didn’t give up. Alejandro Jimenez gave a pass to Eli Kraupi who was standing in the penalty box. Kroupi controlled the ball well before directing the ball into the right corner of the Red Devils’ goal in the 84th minute.

The score was tied at 4-4. This score lasts until the match is finished.
