New cultural event “within the walls of the Mint of Lucca”: at the numismatic museum of the Tuscan city, on Sunday 9 November starting from 10.00 am, a morning dedicated to the history of money and its dissemination is scheduled.
Protagonists of Within the walls of the mint of Lucca there will be four professionals and collectors, all united by the fact that they are also enthusiasts and scholars of numismatics starting from Matteo Anzillotti who will present a report dedicated to one of the most particular coins minted in the city, the bolognino of 1790. To follow, Lorenzo Baldassini he will ideally move to Siena to delve deeper into the history of the crazia of 1555, the last coin minted by the glorious republic.

Vincenzo Castelliinstead, will introduce the public to the intriguing phenomenon of historical fakes in the Middle Ages and Pietro Morbidi will address the theme of papal numismatics with history and curiosities in the period from Hadrian I to Eugene IV.
The conferences will be followed by one visit to the museum itinerary from the Antica Zecca Foundation of Lucca and a convivial moment. Participation is open to the public and the event Within the walls of the mint of Lucca will take place at Barracks San DonatoPiazzale Verdi, on the Urban Walls.
