Vietnam shines with two gold medals at international badminton tournament

The finals of the Felet Vietnam International Series 2025 badminton tournament took place on November 2 in Bac Ninh.

The Vietnamese delegation qualified for four of the five finals – men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles – and won two gold medals in men’s singles and women’s singles.

In the women’s category, the Vietnamese Vu Thi Trang won against the Thai Tonrug Saeheng after an intense duel in three sets (21-19, 18-21, 21-11), showing remarkable precision in her counter-attacks during the decisive moments.

In the men’s final, Lê Duc Phat triumphed over the Filipino Jewel Angelo Albo after a spectacular encounter concluded with a score of 2-1 (15-21, 21-13, 21-15), offering the Vietnamese selection a new gold medal.

The other titles were won by Malaysia (mixed doubles), Republic of Korea (women’s doubles) and Indonesia (men’s doubles).

Held from October 28 to November 2, the tournament brought together 253 players from 18 countries and territories, competing in five categories. The event helped promote badminton and energize the sporting and cultural life of Bac Ninh province.
