Rob Kousal: Vsetín Departure & Czech League Trade

One of the biggest personalities of the second highest competition, Luboš Rob Jr., is leaving Vsetín for a month’s loan to rival Přerov. Robert Černý, another prominent defender, travels in the opposite direction.

“The purpose of the temporary exchanges is to revive the players’ performances,” explains Vsetín sports director Pavel Hanák. “Luboš’s qualities are indisputable, since the month-long trade, we promise that he will catch on again and start scoring points. Of course, after his return, we count on him for the next phase of the season,” he assures on the club’s website.

“Luboš Rob will get a role on the power play for us, which is what we need. Chance creation and finishing will rub us a bit in the power play,” Přerov coach Michal Mikeska is looking forward to the star acquisition.

In any case, such a trade is rarely seen.

After all, the sniper Rob won the Tomáš Zelenka Award for the best player of the competition twice, made it to its All-Star team three times, won the league productivity twice and once became the league’s Max scorer king.

All Rob’s goals in the 2021/2022 season

Together with Vít Jonák and Pavle Klhůfek, they formed one of the most striking lines in the history of the first league, but under the new coach Daniel Babka, the star from Vsetín, Rob, is in search – in 23 games he scored only three times, and his ice time dropped sharply. The logical outcome is an exchange. “We will revive his collaboration with Antonín Pechanec,” announces Mikeska on the Zubrů website.

“Of course, after his return, we count on Luboš for the next phase of the season.”

This year, the counter value in the trade is also below expectations

Robert Black

The right-handed Černý is used to collecting around twenty points in the regular season, but after 21 duels of the current season, he has 0+2 in the statistics. “We know what kind of player we are getting in him. He is a versatile defender who we can also use on power plays,” Hanák believes in Černý’s contribution to Lapač.
