One of Latvia’s leading basketball coaches – Raimonds Feldmanis, who is widely known for his experience in youth and professional basketball, as well as the head coach of the Latvian 3×3 men’s basketball team that won the Olympic Games and the head of the Turība basketball team of the University of Business Administration – has started working as the director of the Turība Sports Club from November this year.
Raimonds Feldmanis has proven himself as a highly professional and dedicated coach. Under his leadership, the Latvian 3×3 men’s basketball team won the Olympic champion title in 2021, but his professional vision, work ethic and experience have helped many young basketball players reach a new level of mastery.
Feldmani’s contribution to the development of the Turības basketball team vividly proves his ability to systematically build teams, develop talents and ensure excellent performance in competitions of various levels.
By assuming the position of director of the sports club, Raimonds Feldmanis will take responsibility not only for the further development of the basketball team, but also for the other structures of the sports club, including Possessions cheerleading team and cricket team. Under his leadership, the sports club plans to expand student involvement in sports activities and continue to create a dynamic, cohesive and high-quality sports environment at the university.
In March of this year, Feldmanis was also appointed as the assistant coach of the Ukrainian men’s basketball team, where his task is to strengthen the coaching staff, provide experience and offer a strategic perspective in international basketball.

This season, a pyramid of basketball players’ skills and abilities development has been created, the top of which is our cooperation partner club “Rīgas Zellļi,” as well as the National League team “Kandava/Turība.” In addition, our students, alumni and club women’s teams play in various amateur leagues.
