Neymar Free Kick Feint: Return to Football

Brazilian star Neymar, injured a month and a half ago in his right thigh, returned to the field with Santos on Saturday during the 31st day of the Brazilian championship.

The 33-year-old striker, who suffered an injury to the femoral muscle of his right thigh during training in mid-September, came on in the 67th minute of the home match against Fortaleza (1-1).

Neymar particularly distinguished himself by attempting a feint to deceive the opposing wall and goalkeeper on a free kick. As he was about to kick, he interrupted his run-up, as he does on penalties, before shooting but his attempt was ultimately repelled by the goalkeeper.

After this draw against a direct competitor for maintenance, Santos, who has a game in hand, remains close to the red zone, two points from the first relegation.

A return to the selection soon?

Obviously, the question of a return to the selection for the Brazilian arises. The former PSG magician has always publicly spoken about his wish to play again with his country.

“I want him to be really good to be able to play. He will be able to participate in the World Cup if he is physically well. From a technical point of view, there is no discussion. His goal should be to be ready in June. It doesn’t matter whether or not he is on the list in October, November or March,” warned Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti. Enough to make Neymar want to perform very well.
