In a late-night incident on Sunday,around 7:45 PM,a brazen break-in occurred in Jena Löbstedt. Authorities report that multiple individuals gained unauthorized access to an apartment building by scaling a balcony. Once inside, the suspects proceeded to force entry into several storage cellars and ransacked an apartment in search of stolen goods. The situation took a turn when the 88-year-old resident of the apartment unexpectedly encountered the two perpetrators. Startled by the confrontation,the intruders made a swift escape.

Responding to the alarm, a meaningful police presence, including multiple patrol cars, was mobilized to scour the area for the fleeing suspects. The pursuit proved fruitful, as law enforcement successfully apprehended two males, aged 16 and 20, who are now believed to be involved. Both individuals were transported to the criminal investigation department for further questioning and processing. Following the completion of these initial police procedures, both suspects were released. The full extent of the stolen items and the precise timeline of events are currently under thorough investigation. A formal criminal investigation has been launched, focusing on charges related to aggravated theft.
