Football Manager 26: Release Date & Launch Trailer | Qoly

On the 5th, SEGA Co., Ltd. released Football Manager 26, a soccer club management simulation for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam/Epic Games Store/Windows), Mac, Netflix, and Apple Arcade.

“Football Manager” is a globally popular series created by Sega and the British developer Sports Interactive. The series started with “Football Manager 2005,” released in 2004, and has undergone various evolutions since then.

Create your own manager profile and backstory, then choose a club from countries around the world and enter the real world of soccer.

This is a “unparalleled real soccer simulation game” where your goal is to become the all-powerful manager of your favorite club, from a local semi-pro team to one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, and push your team to even greater heights.

The latest release, FM26, introduces an intuitive and sophisticated user interface (UI) that is a significant evolution from the traditional sidebar, fundamentally evolving the director experience. From the navigation bar at the top of the screen, you can smoothly access the necessary elements, from acquiring players, setting tactics, to final confirmation just before a match, everything is within easy reach.

The search function has also been significantly revamped, allowing you to check information on clubs, players, coaches, etc., as well as tactics and terminology, as well as guides and support information included in FMPedia, with just one click. The design is such that everyone from beginners to veterans can access the information they need without hesitation.

In addition, the long-awaited women’s soccer debut in the “Football Manager” series. Players can freely switch between the management of men’s and women’s clubs, and command both clubs as full-power managers.

The unique elements of women’s soccer are faithfully recreated in every detail, from transfer negotiations, contracts, club finances, and even injury response. This allows players to experience club management with unprecedented depth and reality.

Furthermore, “FM26” implements major evolutions in terms of tactics. In addition to the introduction of a new UI, a wealth of options and new player roles have been added, making it possible to create more flexible and diverse tactics than ever before.

A new system that allows you to set separate formations for attack and defense allows for more detailed management of player placement and roles. Roles have also been divided into different aspects, with new and redesigned positions added.

The “Visualizer” function allows you to visualize the shape of your team in each area: defense, midfield, and attack. This allows you to intuitively understand how the tactics you create will work on the pitch. Switching between attack and defense is organized into corresponding phases, making the entire system easier to understand.

Lastly, we would like to introduce comments from Miles Jacobson, studio director of Sports Interactive.

“The launch of Football Manager 26 marks the beginning of a new era for our game. FM26 achieved record pre-purchase numbers in the history of the series, with 100,000 people playing in just 45 minutes of its early beta launch. Since then, more than 200,000 players continue to play every day.

This work has been released on multiple platforms, and as a studio we are building a foundation for the next 20 to 30 years as we continue to improve and evolve.”
