Hansi Flick experiences debacle against Chelsea with Barcelona

In the top duel against Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona experienced a black day. The reason for this was also a dismissal.
Chelsea FC inflicted a significant defeat on FC Barcelona on matchday five of the current Champions League season. Coach Hansi Flick’s team lost 0:3 (0:1) in London.
In a strong first half, Chelsea were initially unlucky as two goals from Enzo Fernández were disallowed. The Londoners then took the lead with a slapstick own goal from Jules Koundé (27th), who tunneled through a teammate just in front of the line during a mix-up in his own penalty area. Shortly before the break, Barcelona also lost defender Ronald Araújo after a yellow-red card (44th).
After the break it continued like this. After another Chelsea goal was disallowed, Estevao (55th) and Liam Delap (73rd) scored the other decisive goals for the Londoners. Apart from a good opportunity for Ferran Torres in the early stages, Barcelona had no chance.
Chelsea now jumps to fifth place with ten points and has a good chance of getting into the top eight and thus straight into the round of 16. Barcelona, on the other hand, remains in the middle of the table with seven points.
Newcastle United suffered a setback in the fight for a good position in the 1:2 (1:0) draw at Olympique Marseille. Former Dortmund player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang turned the game around with a double strike shortly after the break (46th, 50th). Nick Woltemade came on for Newcastle in the second half, but despite good actions from the German international striker, the Premier League club lost.
Galatasaray suffered a surprising home defeat. The Turkish champions led by national players Leroy Sané and İlkay Gündoğan lost 0-1 (0-0) against Union Saint-Gilloise. Promise David scored the goal of the day (57th). For Galatasaray it was the first home defeat in a competitive game since August 2024.
