Vincent Kompany is not a coach who speaks in exclamation points. He wouldn’t be the right person to develop gaudy claims, and if he were to formulate a headline, interest in the text would probably be limited. Which, by the way, would be very much in the spirit of Kompany, who, neither as a guy nor as a football coach, is looking for a quick punch line. Kompany believes in work and development, and development that comes from work. Considering his standards, he ventured very far when he said this sentence in the press conference before the rocker shock monster game at Paris Saint-Germain: “There are two extreme ideas that come together, and as a spectator I would always want to see that.”
