Every afternoon, numerous Ba Chuc High School students gather in the schoolyard to play volleyball, football, badminton and other sports, creating a happy and lively atmosphere. Nguyen Minh Duc, a student in Class 11A1, said: “After school, I play badminton and soccer with my friends. Sports and exercise help me stay in touch with friends, improve my health and well-being, and better absorb cultural knowledge.”

Mr. Tran Van Duoc, Secretary of the Youth Association of Ba Chuc High School, said: “By surveying students’ needs, the school board develops programs and directs the development of school sports. At the same time, it invests in and builds modern, appropriate facilities to meet students’ needs for recreation and entertainment.”

Ba Chuc High School currently has a football field, volleyball court, badminton court and numerous other outdoor facilities to meet the needs of students and teachers for training and competitions. These are high-quality competition venues that are suitable for intra-school as well as municipal and provincial sports competitions.

Thanks to targeted investments in and expansion of sports facilities for teachers and students, Ba Chuc High School has achieved numerous successes in local, school and provincial sports competitions. The school’s volleyball team has won multiple gold medals in both men’s and women’s divisions at the provincial level Phu Dong Sports Festival.

In addition to sports, Ba Chuc High School regularly organizes numerous cultural and artistic events, which are very useful and meaningful. These include, for example, art performances on important holidays, as well as competitions for talented and elegant students. This provides students with the opportunity to express their passion, talent, confidence, creativity and teamwork skills.

Mr. Tran Van Duoc explained that every year on the occasion of important holidays, the school holds art and sports competitions to create a playful and competitive atmosphere between classes. “By participating in such activities, the school discovers and nurtures artistic talents at an early stage, thereby creating a healthy environment in which students can develop their skills and passions,” added Mr. Duoc.

A highlight of the year was Ba Chuc High School’s participation in the provincial festival of traditional Khmer arts. The Ba Chuc community won first prize in the area of traditional Khmer musical instruments, second prize in the area of traditional costumes and third prize in the area of traditional Khmer art, thus achieving overall victory for the entire group.

Mr. Luu Van Phuoc, principal of Ba Chuc High School, explained that the cultural, sports and exercise activities not only improve students’ health and reduce pressure to perform, but also create a dynamic and unique school climate, strengthen cohesion and promote community awareness. This is an important basis for the holistic development of students into self-confident and responsible young citizens.
