Coca-Cola Sponsorship: One Team Rejects Deal

The global boycott, which has been going on for months, has begun to have an impact in the field of sports as well. The brand called Coca Cola, which was protested for supporting the Zionist regime, made a sponsorship offer to the four biggest clubs of the Super League, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor. However, this offer was clearly rejected by one of the clubs.

According to the information obtained, Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan responded negatively to the offer as a result of the evaluations made with the club management. The ongoing Coca-Cola boycott in Türkiye and the sensitivity towards the human tragedy in Palestine were decisive in Trabzonspor’s decision.

President Doğan shared the reason for the decision clearly:

“It would not behoove us to make such an agreement when so many children are being murdered in Palestine and Coca-Cola is being boycotted intensely.”

PARTNERSHIP IN THE MASSACRE FROM OTHER TEAMS!

On the other hand, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş accepted the offer offered by the brand.

Football fans stated that Türkiye’s leading clubs’ acceptance of the sponsorship offer of Coca-Cola, which provided bullets for the genocide, is tantamount to being complicit in the genocide in Gaza.

COCA COLA IS MAKING A LOSS!

Coca-Cola, which was boycotted worldwide due to its support to the Zionist regime during the Gaza genocide, continues to make losses in the world and in Türkiye. The company’s share in the Turkish market decreased by five points from 59 percent to 54 percent from 2023 to 2024 after the boycott. It is stated that Coca-Cola managers use football clubs in Türkiye as a tool to increase their market share.
