the highly anticipated showdown between PSG and Bayern was set to draw hundreds of German fans to the French capital. Tho, according to FC Bayern, the Paris police headquarters implemented a sudden decree that significantly altered the arrangements for visiting supporters. The club stated in a press release that the decree, issued with very little notice, aimed to regulate the arrival of fans and establish a security perimeter.

Under the new regulations, all fan buses carrying Bayern supporters were required to assemble at a toll booth located outside the city before the match.Furthermore, any Bayern fans not arriving by bus were mandated to use public transportation exclusively to reach the stadium. Post-match protocols also dictated that all fans would return to their original modes of transport, with buses than being escorted out of the city by police.

FC Bayern expressed strong dissatisfaction with the abrupt nature of this order, emphasizing that all necessary information had been available for weeks,as is standard for their matches. The club also pointed out that the risk assessment for their supporters had not changed since their last visit to Paris in 2023. Adding to their frustration, the decree stipulated that fan buses would only be permitted to depart Paris in the early morning hours, around 5:00 AM CET, to begin their journey home.

The six-time Champions League winners are denouncing this “surprising measure” and have confirmed they have “immediately filed a complaint with UEFA and will take legal action.” Bayern also indicated that they have the backing of Paris-SG in their protest.
